The Baltimore Ravens have decided that the juice is no longer worth the squeeze. According to Adam Schefter, the Ravens are in the process from removing safety Earl Thomas from the roster because of an issue within the locker room. Reportedly, he punched safety Chuck Clark in the locker room.
This is big news as the Browns, Steelers and even the Bengals have made changes to make their passing attack more dangerous this year. For the Browns specifically, this can make the Ravens very susceptible to the tight ends like Hooper and Njoku. While the Ravens still are very strong at corner and can cover well, this is an unexpected massive hole within an AFC North favorite and title contender.
This is the type of breaks that can change a division race. With the Browns going all in on a model that would stress good safety and linebacker play, the Ravens are suddenly mortal at both positions. It is the Ravens and they embody the next man up model but it cannot be a bad thing for the Browns and their fans.
